OSAGE BEACH, MO - Nancy J. Sheely, 72, of Osage Beach, Mo. departed this life Sunday, April 3, 2011 at University of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia, MO.
Nancy J. Sheely OSAGE BEACH, Mo. – Nancy J. Sheely, 72, of Osage Beach, Mo., departed this life Sunday, April 3, 2011, at University of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia, Mo.
Nancy was born Nov. 8, 1938, in Dixon, the daughter of H. Emerson and LaVerne (Tucker) Rorer. She was united in marriage to Kenneth E. Sheely on June 19, 1960. He preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1995.
Nancy worked for Camdenton RIII School District for 28 years, where she taught Spanish classes. More recently she served on the Osage Beach Board of Aldermen for 4 years. Nancy enjoyed gardening, and was a member of the garden club and the Red Hat Society. She was a member of Harper Chapel United Methodist Church, Osage Beach, where she was actively involved with the United Methodist Women group.
Nancy was a loving wife, and a devoted mother and grandmother, who will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
Nancy is survived by her mother, LaVerne Rorer Brunett; two sons, Mark (Helmi) Sheely of Columbia, Mo., and Kevin (Gretchen) Sheely of Independence, Mo.; one brother, Richard (Lynette) Rorer of Fort Worth, Texas; one stepbrother, Jack (Sharon) Brunett of Dixon; two sisters-in-law, Dot Brunett of Florida and Becky Sheely of Columbia, Mo.; three grandchildren, Webb Sheely, Samantha Sheely and Logan Sheely; several other relatives; and many friends.
She also was preceded in death by her father; one stepbrother, Richard Brunett; and her stepfather, George Brunett.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
