Donald "Don" C. Lawson Jr.
Donald "Don" C. Lawson, Jr. passed away at Consulate Healthcare In Atamonte Springs FL on June 21st, 2022 at age 84. He was born on March 13th, 1938 in Dixon, IL to Donald Sr. And Erma ((Rutherford). He graduated from Dixon High School in 1956. He joined the Navy in November 1956, taking recruit training at Great Lakes. He studied electronics in San Francisco, later going abroad the USS Orleck DD 886, which took him all around the Pacific.  He is survived by his sister, Leta Stewart (Lawson), children Mark and Jeffrey Lawson and Jennifer Silva (Lawson), and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenneth, and son James. Don will always be remembered as a kind and humble man that was proud of his hometown, his service in the Navy, his family and friends, and his love of the Chicago Bears.
