Richard Lee Duffield  Born: May 9, 1938, Died August  8, 2022

Richsrd Lee Duffield of McKinney, Texas passed away August 8, 2022, at the age of 84. He was born on May 9, 1938, to William Duffield and Myrtle (Peterson) Duffield in Princeton, Illinois. After graduation from Dixon High School, he served in the Illinois National Guard. He married Donna (Cheeseman) on March 25, 1961, in Polo, Illinois. Richard was a farmer for 20 years in Polo. following a change of career, he became an employee of Illinois Department of Transportation retiring after twenty years of service. Richard most enjoyed woodworking and gardening, enjoying the fruits of his labor. He was fond of camping and getting out into nature to relax and make memories around campfires, sharing many stories to all who would,listen. Richard was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. Affectionely known as Dick, he loved to laugh and enjoyed conversation over a warm cup of coffee with  his beloved friends. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. 
Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Duffield of McKinny, Texas, daughter, Dawn Duffield of Lake Isabella, Michigan, son Brent Duffield and wife Kay of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Brock Duffield and wife, Audrey of Willsonville, Oregon and Kristen Duffield of McKinney, Texas; great-grandchildren, Brynn Duffield and Raylee Duffield of Wilsonvillle, Oregon; sister Joan Krug of Mount Morris, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews. He was recently preceded in death by his son-on-law, David McGrath, the husband of Dawn Duffiled, his parents, William,and Myrtle Duffield; and his siblings, Clee Duffiled, Dale Duffiled, Robert Duffield, Roberta McArthur and Merrill Duffiled
