Dixon,  Lewis Dale Cathey, 79, of Dixon died Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Franklin Grove LIving & Rehabilitation Center.  He was born Oct. 14, 1937, in Dixon, the son of Allen and Goldie (Young) Cathey. Dale worked for Henry Pratt Co. for 44 years before his retirement in 2000. He enjoyed spending time with his famiy, tending his flower and vegetable gardens, cars and motorcycles.  Dale married Phyllis Blackburn on July 16, 1960, in Dixon.  She preceded him in death on June 8, 2009. Survivors include his daugher, Jody (Gary) Wolf of Nachusa; two sons, Michael (Jeni) Cathey of Dixon and Patrick Cathey of Rock Falls, five grandchildren, Krystal Cathey, Austin Cathey, Benjamin (Katie) Wolf, Brenna (Jerry) Chapman, and Olivia Cathey; three stepgrandchildren, Brianna, Gabriella, and Mari; six great-grandchildren, Carmella Cathey, Brooklyn Delos Santos, Braxton Cathey, Jackson Wolf, and Aria and Hudson Chapman, one brother, Wayne (Ruth) Cathey of Fot Myerss, Florida and three nephews.  The funeral will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dixon.  Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon.
